How it all started...
Our Beginning— On August 13, 2017, Church of the Lakes launched in the downtown Tropic Theater and there were around 110 adults and children. Our vision was, and still is, to create a church where everyone feels welcome – a safe place where your past, family background, ethnicity, or age do not determine your value. In our church, everyone has an equal seat at the table.
Our Mission— So, what's our ultimate goal? We believe in service. Serving others not only makes us followers of God's word but also sparks curiosity in those we serve. This curiosity provides us with an opportunity to share God's immense love for them. We are committed to enriching our community through acts of service, which open the door for us to spread the gospel.
Who We Are— Above all, Church of the Lakes is about one thing: Jesus Christ. We are a community of individuals who have found hope in Jesus and aim to share this life-changing hope with as many people as possible. At Church of the Lakes, we aspire to help everyone experience the true meaning of Life.

Expanding the vision...
On Easter Sunday in 2019, we relocated to Leesburg High School and have remained there ever since. Our enduring partnership with Leesburg High continues to support the teachers, staff, students, and the community.

Church of the Lakes offers numerous opportunities for spiritual growth and building meaningful relationships. We invite you to explore our Life Steps classes, which occurs every Sunday in The Rock (Classroom 01-111) at Leesburg High School. In Life Steps, you will learn about Small Groups, Dream Teams, and various community service opportunities!
Know God
True Life begins with a relationship with God. In this class, you will learn about your relationship with God and how to develop it. Life Step 1 happens the first Sunday of every month.
Find Freedom
Freedom is found through a relationship with other people. In this class, you explore your relationship with others and see how you need others to find freedom in your life. Life Step 2 happens the second Sunday of every month.
Discover Purpose
Purpose is the foundation of our relationship with ourselves. Do you know your purpose? In this class, you will discover the relationship you have with God’s story and how He designed you with purpose. Life Step 3 happens the third Sunday of every month.
Make A Difference
Making a difference is about our relationship with the world around us. In this class you will be encouraged to engage in God’s story by using your gifts and talents to lead others to true life. Life Step 4 happens the fourth Sunday of every month.
