Break Free

Jan 12, 2025    Pastor Mike Matheny

We all carry parts of our past—guilt, shame, or bitterness—that feel impossible to let go of, much like Peter’s denial of Jesus. The enemy whispers lies about our failures, calling us unforgivable, unlovable, and useless, but God’s grace is always greater. In John 21, Jesus doesn’t condemn Peter; instead, He restores him, focusing on love and purpose over past mistakes. Letting go of the past means shutting the door on guilt and stepping into the future God has planned, where our story is about His victory, not our failures. No matter what’s behind you, God can redeem your story and give you a hope-filled future.
