Mike and Jenifer Matheny have been happily married for 21 years. They have dedicated the past 17 years to serving in full-time ministry. In 1999, they embarked on a life-changing journey by attending the Discipleship Training School with Youth With A Mission. Their training led them to spend 7 transformative months in The Gambia, West Africa, engaging in both learning and impactful outreach.
Upon completing their training, they returned to the United States, where Mike joined the esteemed staff of Southpointe Baptist Fellowship in Leesburg, FL. At Southpointe, Mike's passion for youth and children's ministry flourished as he served as the Youth & Children's Pastor for 5 fulfilling years. In 2005, Mike continued his inspiring work by joining The Father's House, also located in Leesburg, FL, as the dedicated Youth & Children's Pastor.
Throughout the years, Mike's dedication and leadership were recognized, leading him to assume the role of Executive Pastor at The Father's House from 2014 to 2017. During this time, he provided valuable guidance as a Board member and delivered inspiring teachings as one of the esteemed Pastors.
In addition to their remarkable service, the Matheny's have been blessed with 5 beautiful children and have lovingly welcomed 3 foster children into their family. Their hearts overflow with love and compassion as they joyfully serve the people of Central Florida. They eagerly anticipate the opportunity to cultivate a church community where individuals are cherished and encouraged to deepen their faith.
