ABOUT THIS MINISTRY
In the “PRIME TIME” season of our lives, the sorrow of loss becomes a frequent and unwelcome visitor. As we navigate our 50s and 60s, we will likely accompany our aging parents on their final journey. And as we enter our 70s and 80s, our spouses and siblings age alongside us, once again leading us to bid farewell to dear loved ones as they approach eternity.
The ministry of "Grief Care Restore" at COTLakes encompasses four key aspects...
- We offer a series of well-crafted booklets titled "Journeying through Grief." These booklets are specifically designed to provide solace and guidance during the challenging first year after the loss of a loved one. Pastor Doug will personally deliver each booklet at the appropriate time, offering support throughout your grieving journey.
- Dawn Anderson hosts a monthly luncheon for women who have lost their husbands, providing a comforting and supportive environment where they can share a meal and connect with others who have walked a similar path.
- Pastor Doug and Dawn Anderson extend an invitation to widows to gather at their home once a month. Here, they find mutual encouragement through the sharing of personal stories of how God sustains and heals, accompanied by afternoon snack refreshments.
- Pastor Doug dedicates time to meet with men widowers, offering guidance to help them regain stability, strength, and focus in their lives. Additionally, Pastor Doug and Dawn are available anytime via phone, text, or email, serving as the Christian friends you may need throughout your journey of restoration with God.
